FOX Nation launched a new documentary entitled FREED TO KILL fronted by Peabody award-winning investigative reporter and True Crime Reporter® podcast host Robert Riggs.

Over the course of five episodes, Riggs details the unthinkable acts committed by serial killer Kenneth McDuff.

In 1966 McDuff became known as the “Broomstick Killer” for the random abduction and murder of three teenagers in Fort Worth, Texas. McDuff raped and brutalized a 16-year old girl with a jagged broomstick before he strangled her to death with it.

McDuff was sentenced to die in the electric chair. But six years later the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the death penalty. McDuff’s death sentence was commuted to life along with dozens of other death row inmates in Texas. They became eligible for parole but it was inconceivable that they would ever be set free.

Twenty-three years later, McDuff secretly walked out of prison on parole under a cloud of corruption. The next day started a new killing spree that would leave a trail of victims across the heart of Texas.
